First scribe is same as in Ms. 200, which Jones in The Script of Cologne, p. 71-73, attributed to Cologne and dated to the time of Bp. Hermann (890-923) . Bischoff included this ms. and Ms. 200 as part of a "moselländische Gruppe" (Lorsch im Spiegel , p. 80 note 110); and according to C. Jeudy, loc. cit., Bischoff indicated that Ms. 200 is specifically from Prüm, dated 9c 2/3. Both this ms. and 200 have same type of page layout, with bounding lines and text lines ending neatly at the corners of the written space, and text lines do not enter the space between bounding lines; style of flourishes around quire signatures are the same in both mss. This ms. is not identifiable with Decker, nr. 102 (see Frenken , loc. cit.). According to J.E. Chisholm, op. cit. vol. 2, p. 45, "The contents of this codex are identical with those of St. Gall 29 and Boulogne-sur-Mer 48, and are in exactly the same order." These other mss. were probably written in St. Gall and Alsace respectively, according to B. Bischoff (see Chisholm ibid. pp. 42-43).
