[1], i8-1 (lacks one at front, f. 1 has top and outer margins trimmed), ii-xx8, xxi4 (lower 2/3 and outer margin of last leaf excised, no loss to main text), [1]. Quire signatures I-XX.
Seiteneinrichtung
Written space: 230-240 mm x 117-120 mm 27-28 lines. ¶ Long lines. Dry-point ruling, double bounding lines at outer margin, single at gutter prickings at outer bounding line. text above top line. Scriptural book titles as running titles.

Schrift und Hände

9c littera carolina. One main hand, with at least four other hands ff. 57v-58v and 61v-63v.

Buchschmuck

  • 4- to 5-line pen-decorated initials f. 2v and 77v, brown and red (leafy finials, geometric designs within outlines, or dots);
  • 2-line initials and titulus in outline square capitals partly filled with red f. 1v;
  • other tituli in uncials mixed with minuscules, red on f. 2v and 77r-v, brown f. 159r;
  • first line in square capitals f. 77v.

Hinzufügungen

A few variant readings; "in uigilem paschae" at Is.1:1, f. 2v; dry-point scribblings f. 76v. Some words accented for reading, esp. ff. 1v-2r.

Geschichte der Handschrift

Provenienz
f. 2r: "Codex Sancti [Martini?]", added in 9c, original name erased, mostly illegible, and in its place is written "Maximini" by a later hand, so that the inscription now reads "Codex Sancti Maximini". Not identifiable with Decker, nr. 40 ("Item [Hieronymi] in isaiam lib. V in uno codice"; see Frenken , loc. cit.); possibly identifiable with Decker nr. 3 ("Esaiae. hieremiae. hiezechihelis. in uno corpore"), although this codex does not now contain Ezechiel.
