Written space: 250 mm x 159 mm 27 lines, except f. 1v ruled with 53 lines within same written space and with 27 prickings. ¶ Long lines. Dry-point ruling, double bounding lines, top and bottom lines extend across gutter prickings 5-10 mm from outer bounding line text above top line.

Buchschmuck

  • Simple red or brown initials, 1-3 lines;

Hinzufügungen

Contemporary corrections and a few notes. Readers' register on Vordere_Innenseite is written below Wüsten's note dated 1927, giving a terminus post quem for the addition of these readers' registers in most of the codices.

Provenienz
Bischoff (loc. cit.) notes this ms. and Hs. 41, both of which appear in the Köln catalogue of 833, as the "unmittelbar Nachwirkung" of some of the manuscripts sent to Charlemagne by Leo III between 800 and 814. See also P. Courcelle, Les lettres grecques en Occident de Macrobe à Cassiodore (Paris 1948), p. 377, and English trans. by H.E. Wedeck, Latin Writers and their Greek sources (Cambridge, Mass.), p. 397.
