Top outer corner and part of outer edge of front cover are damaged; top outer corners of ff. 1-2 are mended with modern parchment (some loss to gloss text).

[1], i8-1 (lacks original 2nd leaf, fragmentary text on f. 1r-v is repeated in full ff. 2r-3v), ii-x8, xi6-1 (lacks one at end, no loss to text), [1]. Quire signature II on 1st recto (f. 8r).
Seiteneinrichtung
Written space: 170 mm x 128-145 mm (width of columns vary with density of gloss; inner column narrower than outer column; 5-6 mm between columns). 15 lines for text; up to 43 lines ruled for gloss. 1 text column plus gloss on both sides. Lead ruling, two bounding lines between columns, single lines at inner and outer boundaries of gloss columns prickings towards edge of page text below top line.

Not completed by scribe. F. 1v has only 13 lines of text and only the first two lines of the gloss. A complete copy of the prologue and gloss, written apparently by same hand, begins on f. 2r. This folio was apparently used as a practice sheet. On 1r, 18-or 19c title ("Evangelium Johannis") is pasted over first line; in right margin, 15c title is added: "Johannis ewangelium cum glossa interlineari".
