Geschichte der Handschrift

Provenienz
Books of Scripture seem to have been produced separately and joined to prefaces and capitula. This ms. came to Köln already in the 1st half of the 9c (where it was annotated), probably by way of Freising, where Munich, CLM 6225 was copied from it (811-836) (see B. Fischer, Lateinische Bibelhandschriften , pp. 54 and 199; idem, "Bibelausgaben des frühen Mittelalters", p. 541; and CLA loc. cit.); cited by Fischer as the oldest of the mss. which have part of the Old Latin version of Esther before the Vulgate version ("Bibelausgaben ", p. 541). This ms. is not identifiable with Decker, nr. 52 ("Item ipsius [Gregorii] in job libri V in uno thomo"; see Frenken , loc. cit.); no doubt should be identified with Decker, nr. 6, "Item librum Job. tobi. judith. hester. esdra. in uno corpore".
