Quire signatures I-XXV (XXV on 8th [200]).

Dry-point ruling, triple bounding lines at inner and outer margins, double bounding lines for each column between columns, top one and bottom two text lines extend to edge of page and across gutter prickings at middle line of the outermost three bounding lines. text above top line

Schrift und Hände

littera carolina. One main hand; with relieving hand in last quire, and 11c addition ff. 1ra-3va.

Buchschmuck

  • 7-line pen-decorated initial f. 4va (simple, elegant interlace, red outline with brown dots inside outlines);
  • elsewhere 1- to 3-line simple initials;
  • tituli in red or brown rustic capitals, except mixed with uncials f. 4v and in last quire;
  • first lines ff. 4va-5ra in rustic capitals, red or brown stroked with red.

Hinzufügungen

Marginal nota signs and other notes, 10-11c; pencil numbering of the letters in arabic numerals by 20c hand.

Provenienz

This ms. designated "rho"*3 + Pb-5 by the editors (see incipits 2 and 3 below). This ms. is identified by H. Mayr-Harting as a copy made at Werden from a Berlin ms., which was written at Corbie and then went to Werden (personal communication from Mayr-Harting , forthcoming in publication; the suggestion that this ms. was produced at Werden was made to Mayr-Harting also by H. Hoffmann, in personal communication).
